About Us

Using our vast collection of objects, archives and authentic legal buildings, we bring real stories of real people to life. Discover how law, justice, crime and punishment contribute to all our lives and delve into the fascinating history of justice through time.

Our award-winning heritage visitor attractions include the National Justice Museum, Nottingham, comprising Nottingham's historic Shire Hall and County Gaol, and the City of Caves in Nottingham, which tells the stories of people that lived and worked within the UK’s biggest network of caves.

National Justice Museum Education programmes are delivered at our sites in Nottingham as well as at the Royal Courts of Justice and the Rolls Building in London and at legal and heritage sites across the North West.

We are a registered charity (1030554) helping children, families and young people to gain a practical understanding of the law and justice system, through fun and engaging activities and exhibitions, so they can be inspired by their rights and responsibilities, to play an active role in society.
